Narrative Evaluations Consulting and SupportOur evaluations support services enable instructors to more easily write narrative evaluations through easy to use technology, consulting, and workshops. This service is focused on assisting faculty in using common desktop technology to create consistent, high quality student performance evaluations easily and quickly. We provide technology tools, consulting, workshops, online documentation, and tutorials to support the writing of narrative evaluations. We emphasize understanding the pedagogical purposes of written student performance evaluations and provide service in accordance with guidelines created by the Committee on Educational Policy and in conjunction with the Center for Teaching Excellence and the Office of the Registrar. We maintain contacts with other departments such as AIS and the Registrar in order to provide intelligent referral and "one-stop shopping" with regards to student assessment to the extent possible. Narrative evaluation writing workshops are held on a quarterly basis, timed to meet requirements for posting to AIS by published deadlines. Consulting is available both by appointment and via email.
